Eliza Cooley grew up on a llama farm south of the White Mountains of New Hampshire, and now calls Leavenworth, Washington, home. As a midwife and women’s health nurse practitioner at a community health center, she dedicates her days to supporting Spanish-speaking immigrants and migrant fruit farmers through pregnancy, childbirth, and more. Eliza finds joy in the freedom and simplicity of running, loves rock climbing and backpacking, and is on the journey of re-learning how to ski—a humbling yet rewarding experience. In her mid-20s, Eliza hiked the Appliachain Trail over the course of four months, an experience that still sticks with her to this day.
