Paz Mendelevitch is based in Mammoth Lakes, California, and handles marketing and communications for Ridge Merino. If it goes fast and gets dirty, Paz is in—mountain biking, splitboarding (soft boots for life), scrambling around the Eastern Sierra with a fly rod in hand, and bouncing down dirt roads in his '93 Jeep XJ with huskies in tow. His ideal day out involves a well-defined skin track with a good pitch and clean switchbacks, ending somewhere near a remote golden trout lake or a steep-and-deep backcountry line. Ask him what gear he can't live without, and he won't hesitate: Voile straps, equally essential for splitboard setups and holding Jeep parts together. Originally from San Diego, Paz moved to Mammoth in 2013 for one winter season of park-building and ski-bumming, and never found a reason to leave.
