Phil Straub is a certified mountain guide and co-owner of Cascade Mountain Ascents, a worker-owned guiding cooperative based in Bellingham, Washington. He's an accomplished alpine climber with a tick list that includes several ascents of Denali, the Harvard Route on Mount Huntington, Liberty Ridge on Rainier, and the Torment-Forbidden Traverse in a day. He holds AMGA Certified Alpine and Ski Guide credentials, along with AIARE Pro 2 and AIARE Course Instructor certifications. When he's not guiding, you'll find him hunting fresh ski lines, seeking out splitter cracks, or poring over weather models.
